This is to introduce, and invite you to join, a new group on Yahoo
dedicated to environmental concerns. The group is "Climate, Environment,
and Society" (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Climate-Environment-Society/
<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Climate-Environment-Society/> ) and is
open to those with an interest in, and concern for, the science behind
environmental problems caused by human influences on the environment,
especially global warming. We will also discuss measures to be taken to solve these problems, reduce human influences on the Earth, encourage and attain a sustainable human presence on the planet, and explore social implications of these actions.
We hope to achieve a balance between scientific accuracy and interesting and informative material of value to those not active in the sciences.
The group will be moderated, but posts will be available to the public.
